Contest terms and conditions

1. Organizer

Allixia Blouin, operating as Nid Bavard | Talking Nest in Quebec, Canada, organizes this giveaway. Questions and prize correspondence: allixiablouin@nidbavard.ca.

2. Dates

The giveaway runs from October 26, 2026 at 12:00 a.m. Eastern Daylight Time until November 8, 2026 at 11:59:59 p.m. Eastern Standard Time (Montreal time). The server’s submission timestamp determines receipt. The guide remains available after the giveaway closes. The draw takes place November 9, 2026, in Quebec.

3. Eligibility and exclusions

Entrants must be Quebec residents aged 18 or older and a parent or legal guardian of a child aged 3–18. Existing clients of Nid Bavard | Talking Nest at the time of entry cannot participate. Allixia, anyone administering the giveaway, and their immediate families and household members are excluded. Eligibility is checked before a prize is awarded. All services are online; the child must be physically in Quebec during services.

4. How to enter; one entry per parent or guardian

No purchase is necessary to enter. During the giveaway period, submit the free-guide form and confirm eligibility and acceptance of these terms. Each eligible parent or guardian may enter once, regardless of the number of email addresses or requests used. One prize per person; repeat requests do not add entries. The optional marketing consent and speech-observation question are not required and do not affect the chances of winning. An accessible entry without requesting the guide is available by emailing the organizer your first name, email address and confirmation of eligibility and acceptance of these terms before closing. The same entry limit applies across methods. Automated, fraudulent, incomplete or ineligible entries are excluded.

5. Four prizes; total approximate value CA$400

One grand-prize winner receives one free first therapy session, regular value CA$160. Three additional winners each receive 50% off one first therapy session at the regular CA$160 rate: a saving of CA$80, with CA$80 payable by each winner. Four different people receive prizes. All prizes are allocated to the Quebec entry pool, without further regional allocation. The prize applies only to the first therapy session, not a discovery call, initial consultation or assessment. The session format and duration will be explained by Allixia before booking. No treatment outcome is promised.

6. Clinical prerequisites and separate fees

A free 15-minute discovery call is the first suitability check. If there appears to be a fit, a more detailed initial consultation is required and is paid separately at the practice’s regular rate. If an assessment is needed before therapy, it must be completed before therapy begins, either with Allixia or by another speech-language pathologist whose report Allixia reviews. Assessments are not included in the prizes and are paid separately at the applicable provider’s regular rate. All required fees will be explained before booking; no one is obliged to purchase services. The grand prize makes only the first therapy session free. The three discount-prize winners also pay CA$80 for that session. If the child is not clinically suitable for Allixia’s services, the prize cannot be redeemed for that child. Clinical suitability is determined by Allixia independently of the draw.

7. Random draw and chances of winning

On November 9, 2026, the organizer will remove duplicate and ineligible entries and select four entrants randomly without replacement. The grand prize is drawn first, followed by the three discount prizes. Chances depend on the number of eligible entries received. Speech concerns, language choice and marketing consent do not influence the draw.

8. Notification, skill-testing question and replacement draws

Selected entrants will be contacted at the email address provided, from allixiablouin@nidbavard.ca. They have 72 hours from the first notification to respond. Before being declared a winner, each selected entrant must establish eligibility and correctly answer an unaided, time-limited mathematical skill-testing question provided privately by the organizer. No payment is required to be declared a winner. If an entrant does not respond, is ineligible, fails the question or declines, another eligible entrant is drawn at random under the same conditions until the prize is awarded or no eligible entrants remain. A prize that cannot be redeemed for any eligible child in the winning family may be declined and redrawn. No winner’s name or clinical information is published without separate consent.

9. Booking, use and family transfer

Winners must contact Allixia by December 15, 2026 to arrange prize use and complete their prize session by May 15, 2027, subject to mutually agreed appointment availability. A parent or guardian may use the prize for another eligible child in their family, subject to the same age, location and clinical-suitability requirements and any required consultation or assessment. Prizes cannot be sold, exchanged for cash or transferred outside the family. Fees and appointment or cancellation terms will be disclosed before booking. No additional prize-specific cancellation penalty is created by these contest rules. Additional services after the prize session are optional and require separate agreement.

10. Privacy, consent and educational information

Entry details are used to process the guide request, record consent, administer the draw and contact selected entrants. The optional speech observation is not used for winner selection. Ongoing marketing requires separate, optional consent, which can be withdrawn by emailing Allixia. Information is not sold. See the privacy notice for handling, retention and access or deletion requests. Downloading the guide or entering does not establish a therapist-client relationship and does not provide an assessment, screening or diagnosis. Clinical consent is obtained separately.

11. Fair administration and platform disclosure

The organizer may exclude fraudulent entries and correct verified technical errors fairly. A technical problem does not create extra entries. Material changes required by law or events beyond reasonable control will be disclosed here while respecting entrants’ acquired rights; these rules do not give an unrestricted right to reduce prizes or change conditions after entry. Quebec and applicable Canadian federal law apply. Mandatory consumer and privacy rights remain unaffected. This giveaway is not sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook, Instagram or Meta. Entrants release Facebook and Instagram from responsibility for this giveaway to the extent permitted by law. Contact the organizer, not Meta, with questions.
